The Starr’s Mill High School Choral Program is comprised of four choirs that provide students with a range of musical experiences designed to develop artistry, musicianship, and ensemble skills.

CHANTICLEER

Chanticleer Advanced Chorus is the premier choral ensemble at Starr’s Mill High School. Chanticleer is an advanced SATB ensemble whose members demonstrate strong sight-reading, vocal technique, and music theory skills. This ensemble is a year-long course that rehearses daily. The choir participates annually in the Georgia Music Educators Association Large Group Performance Evaluation and consistently earns Superior ratings in both Performance and Sight-Reading. The ensemble maintains a strong focus on a cappella choral music
PANTHERA VOX

Panthera Vox Advanced Treble Chorus is one of the newest ensembles in the Starr’s Mill High School Choral Program. This advanced SSAA ensemble is comprised of students in grades 9–12 who demonstrate strong musicianship, music literacy, and vocal technique. This ensemble is a year-long course that rehearses daily. Through the study and performance of diverse choral repertoire, members continue to develop their artistry, ensemble skills, and musical independence. Panthera Vox participates annually in the Georgia Music Educators Association Large Group Performance Evaluation.
CON-ANIMA VOCE

Con-Anima Voce Intermediate Mixed Chorus consists of students in grades 9–12 and is designed for beginning to intermediate singers. This mixed SAB ensemble focuses on developing strong foundational skills in vocal technique, music literacy, sight-reading, and music theory. Through daily rehearsals and performance experiences, students build confidence, musicianship, and ensemble skills. Con-Anima Voce is a year-long course that rehearses daily and participates annually in the Georgia Music Educators Association Large Group Performance Evaluation.
BEL CANTO

Bel Canto Beginning Treble Chorus consists of treble-voiced students in the 9th grade. This freshman-only SSA ensemble provides an encouraging environment where students develop strong fundamentals in vocal technique, music literacy, sight-reading, and ensemble performance. Through daily rehearsals, performances, and collaborative music-making, students build confidence and musicianship while laying the foundation for future participation in the advanced ensembles of the Starr's Mill Choral Program. Bel Canto is a year-long course that rehearses daily and participates annually in the Georgia Music Educators Association Large Group Performance Evaluation.
