 Continuing a Tradition of Excellence on the World Stage 

The Starr’s Mill High School Choral Program is thrilled to return to Walt Disney World in December 2026 for the sixth time to perform in the world-renowned Candlelight Processional at EPCOT. 

This unforgettable opportunity allows our students to represent Starr’s Mill High School and the surrounding community while performing alongside the Disney Symphony Orchestra and the Voices of Liberty in one of Disney’s most celebrated holiday traditions. 

For nearly three decades, the SMHS Choral Program has built a tradition of excellence through exceptional musicianship, meaningful performances, and unforgettable experiences. The 2026 Disney performance continues this legacy and provides students with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to share their voices on a world-renowned stage. 

 A TRADITION OF EXCELLENCE: SMHS CHOIRS AT DISNEY

 Since 2000, SMHS Choirs have been honored to participate in the Disney Candlelight Processional, joining select choirs from across the country for this treasured holiday celebration. 

Our Disney Candlelight Processional performances include: 

2000

 SMHS Choirs selected as a featured choir for Disney’s Candlelight Processional at EPCOT. 

2005

 SMHS Choirs perform with the Disney Symphony Orchestra and Oscar-winning actress Rita Moreno. 

2011

SMHS Choirs perform with the Disney Symphony Orchestra and Oscar-winning actress Geena Davis. 

2014

SMHS Choirs perform with the Disney Symphony Orchestra and Oscar-winning actress Whoopi Goldberg. 

2018

SMHS Choirs perform with the Disney Symphony Orchestra and actor John Stamos. 

2026

SMHS Choirs selected for the sixth time to perform with the Disney Symphony Orchestra and the Voices of Liberty at Walt Disney World.

ABOUT THE CANDLELIGHT PROCESSIONAL

The Candlelight Processional is one of Walt Disney World’s most cherished holiday traditions. Held at EPCOT’s America Gardens Theatre, the performance features a full orchestra, mass choir, and celebrity narrator sharing the Christmas story through music and storytelling. 

Being selected for this performance is a prestigious honor and represents the dedication, musicianship, and commitment of our students and choral community. 

TRIP OVERVIEW 

Dates: December 18–21, 2026

Location: Walt Disney World Resort – Orlando, Florida 

Students will enjoy a four-day performance experience filled with music, learning, and unforgettable memories. The trip will include: 

🎶  Disney Candlelight Processional Performance Students will perform at EPCOT as part of the world-renowned Candlelight Processional alongside the Disney Symphony Orchestra and Voices of Liberty. 

 

🎤  Disney Imagination Campus Workshop Students will participate in an educational workshop designed to provide hands-on learning experiences with Disney professionals. 

🏰  Walt Disney World Theme Park Experiences Students will have opportunities to experience Disney parks with their fellow choir members while celebrating this special achievement. 

🍽️  Group Dining Experiences Students will enjoy scheduled meals and group dining opportunities throughout the trip. 

🎭  Special Evening Experiences The trip will include additional group activities and experiences to celebrate this milestone together. 

🚌  Travel Details Students will travel by charter bus from Starr’s Mill High School to Orlando, Florida, departing Friday, December 18 and returning Monday, December 21. 

A detailed itinerary, travel schedule, packing information, and required trip documents will be provided to participating students and families as the trip dates approach.
