ABOUT
At Starr’s Mill Chorus, students don’t just learn to sing. They learn to listen, lead, collaborate, and create something beautiful together. Rooted in excellence and shaped by community, the program gives students a place to grow as musicians and as people.

The Starr’s Mill High School Choral Program serves students in grades 9–12 and is comprised of four ensembles: Chanticleer, Panthera Vox, Con-Anima Voce, and Bel Canto.
The program is grounded in a commitment to musical excellence, literacy, and meaningful choral experiences. Students consistently earn superior ratings in Performance and Sight-Reading at the Georgia Music Educators Large Group Performance Evaluation and are frequently selected for honors ensembles such as the Georgia All-State Chorus, All-State Reading Chorus, District and County Honor Choruses, and the Governor’s Honors Program.
The ensembles maintain a proud tradition of distinguished performance opportunities, including appearances at Carnegie Hall and the Walt Disney World Candlelight Processional, with the program continuing this legacy through a scheduled performance at the 2026 Candlelight Processional in December 2026.
Students in the program are held to high musical expectations while also excelling academically and participating in a wide range of school activities, including Advanced Placement coursework, athletics, and student organizations.
The curriculum emphasizes strong foundations in musical literacy and traditional choral artistry while also exploring a diverse range of repertoire across genres and historical periods. The program presents multiple concerts throughout the school year, along with additional performances and community events that support both school and local engagement.
